As residents of San Francisco, where the fog knows no seasonal boundaries, we're usually living the summer months dealing with some variation of fall weather (see this behind-the-scenes post on our shoot last June). As such, summers spent traipsing around town in sandals and strapless dresses are more of a dream than a reality* so we're always excited when the world of fashion shifts its focus to the fall season. 

I thought it would be fun to share a round-up of my favorite F/W shoes. My absolute favorites are from Carven -- there were so many more I didn't show here, the entire collection is flawless.  I'm also loving the prevalence of gold in various hues, the clever use of sparkle in Miu Miu's heels, and those quilted cream booties by Chloé. Also, for the record, I'd like a pair of those Charlotte Olympia kitty flats in every color for every season.

*There are exceptions, but true San Franciscans are never fooled by the occasional heat wave! Even on these days, we dare not leave the house without a big purse full of layers (that include tights!) for when the sunny day quickly shifts to an evening that'll have your teeth chattering.
