Blog » What's in a Name?
Ever wonder goes into naming the items in our shop? Sometimes the names are given by the brands and other times we name them after our friends or think of a way to capture the essence of the item with a particular name. Well, in the case of the Ellsworth Dress, there's actually a rather fun little story we thought we'd share.
Some of you might recall the Vintage Redux Contest we held last year with one of our favorite blogs, For Me, For You. The idea was to submit an image of a vintage item you'd want to have remade just for you. We loved so many of the entries that we vowed to keep our eyes peeled for similar items for certain entries that didn't win. One of our favorites as the Ellsworth Kelly Dress.
So during our spring buying trip a while back, we came across this dress by Lucca Couture...the colors are of course different, but as soon as we saw it, we both gasped, "the Ellsworth Kelly dress!" and that was that!
