Hi guys, I’m Leia—a San Francisco native and longtime friend to the ladies behind Fancy French Cologne.
I had the pleasure of
tagging along with Fancy French Cologne co-founder Christine for a fun
photography play date last week. Almost all of the site’s photos are taken by a
super talented guy named Lev, but we both recently bought new cameras and wanted
some practice experimenting with our new toys. It’s been years since my college
photography class! So long, in fact, that we still developed our own film in a
darkroom. Talk about dark ages!
Anyway, after munching on sandwiches from a local deli, Christine planned out some ideas to shoot the new totes by Bright Beige, including a Pizza Tote I’ve been sporting for a couple weeks now (ahhh the perks of being friends with a boutique owner!). First we scrambled up the hill to Alamo Square (a.k.a. the Full House Park) for some picnic-inspired shots. It was windy as ever, but we found a nice patch of grass with flowers and got started. Here are some of our shots:

Next we headed to Mojo Bicycle Café’s secret back patio for the colorful garden exteriors. It was just starting to drizzle so we had to be quick, but I think we definitely captured the mood we were going for:
Afterwards, we enjoyed some well-deserved earl grey tea at Mojo before continuing our day at the local thrift shops. Thanks for a lovely afternoon, milady!
